Techo International Airport
Project Overview
A new international gateway for Phnom Penh.

Techo International Airport is Cambodia’s new primary international gateway, located in Kandal Province south of Phnom Penh. Phase 1’s terminal, designed by Foster + Partners, opened in September 2025 after completion in July. Its central head house and northern pier are unified by a broad, climate-responsive canopy and a latticed soffit that filters daylight into passenger spaces. Official project information identifies Cambodia Airport Investment Co. (CAIC), a joint venture between the Royal Government of Cambodia and OCIC, as developer, with China State Construction Third Engineering Bureau responsible for the passenger terminal and related facilities.
